Eligibility and Qualification Criteria for Assistant Library and Information Officer

Officers under Central or State Government or High Courts and Courts subordinate thereto.

(a) holding analogous posts; or

(b) with at least five years of regular service in the pay band-2, Rs. 9300-34800/- with grade pay of Rs. 4200/-; and possessing the qualification and experience

Essential Qualification

(a) A Bachelor Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University or institute.

(b) two years' professional experience in a Library under Central or State Government or autonomous or statutory organization or Public Sector Undertaking or University or recognized Research or Educational Institution. 

Desirable

(a) Master's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University or Institute.

(b) Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University or Institute. 

Pay: Group "B" (Gazetted) in the Level-7 of Pay Matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band - 2 RS.9300 -34800 Plus Grade Pay Rs.4600) for Bengaluru, Jodhpur, and Lucknow Benches of the Tribunal.
