There are mainly four types of libraries: Public, Academic, National & Special Library

#01. Public Library

The development of modern public libraries is indeed a great gift of democracy. The public library is run by the public to the public. It is the duty of every nation to broadcast education and educate the general public.

People who do not study in schools or colleges, who are ordinary educated, have their own personal business or who have a desire to read and cannot buy books and want to read the literature of their interest, keeping in mind the interest of such sections, public books Only public libraries can meet the demand of.

#02. Academic Library

The libraries of educational institutions can be divided in this way, such as the university library, school library, secondary school library, basic school library and laboratories, research institutes and private libraries of search institutions, etc.

It is often mandatory to have a large library with every university. Libraries have not yet developed in basic schools and junior high schools, but there is the all-round development of libraries of secondary schools and schools.

#03. Special Library

These libraries are of a specific type and in terms of collections, their form is often different from other libraries.

In it, text or research material is available on a specific subject, such as a medical library, this library is affiliated to a medical institution, school, research center, or hospital, and a collection of medical books is kept in it and not in a public forum. The service of a particular class is limited only. Similarly, an agricultural library, an engineering library, etc.

#04. National Library

The library, which aims at preserving the knowledge available in the nation and serves the entire nation, is called the National Library. There, reading material is compiled according to the needs of all types of readers. The National Library of India is located in Kolkata.
